Simon Dalgarno (Director)

Simon Dalgarno is now the Executive Director of Leadenhall
VRG Pty Ltd after joining the practice in 1998.
He has specialised in valuations and mid market transactions.
Simon has provided structuring advice for an initial public
offering, advised on the sale of businesses (including the
preparation of Information Memorandum, identification of
potential buyers and negotiation of heads of agreement) and
has undertaken numerous evaluations to assist in capital
expenditure and investment decisions for public and private
sector clients.
Simon is a regular speaker at professional development
seminars for legal and accounting professionals on valuation
related topics including for the Institute of Chartered
Accountants and for Kaplan. He is also a major contributor
to the leading valuation text, Australian Valuation Handbook.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and also represents
the Institute of Chartered Accountants on the Business
Valuation Special Interest Group National Committee.
Tim Lebbon (Director) F Fin, FCA, FCPA, FAICD, CVC
Tim Lebbon is the Chairman of Leadenhall VRG Pty Ltd.
He started the consultancy practice of Leadenhall in 1982.
He has over twenty five years’ experience in consulting and
corporate advisory work and over ten years' experience in
accounting and auditing.
He has specialist skills and experience in financial analysis,
evaluations, negotiations and investment. Associates have
interests in listed public companies.
Tim Lebbon has extensive professional qualifications and is a
sought after speaker for congresses and professional
development seminars. He is co-author of the major reference
work, Australian Valuation Handbook.
Tim is a shareholder and Director of Paragon Advisory Pty Ltd
– the investment advisor to the Paragon Equity Pooled
Development Fund.
Gary
Cornelius (Director) B.Ec (Hons), FCTP, FAICD Dip
Gary Cornelius is a Director and Senior Adviser with Leadenhall
VRG. He joined the company in 1987 and specialises in corporate
advice to the public and private sectors, including investment
and project evaluation, mid-market mergers and acquisitions,
debt and equity raising and risk management for medium sized
enterprises; commercialisation of technology and pricing and
costing under National Competition Policy. His background
includes over 30 years in consulting, banking, finance and
international trade in Australia and overseas.
Gary is a non-executive director of the Molecular Plant Breeding
Co-operative Research Centre based at Latrobe University,
Melbourne and Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Hamish Blair (Director) CA, F Fin, M.Com, B.Com (Hons), Grad Dip (App Fin)
Hamish joined Leadenhall VRG Pty Ltd in 2009 after 13 years
corporate finance experience with KPMG’s and Deloitte Touche
Tohmatsu’s corporate finance practices. He has experience
in the preparation of valuations, the provision of corporate
advice and rendering of Independent Expert Reports for
public stock market transactions. Hamish’s industry
experience includes forestry and agriculture, energy and
natural resources, industrial and consumer markets,
manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications and
infrastructure.
He has worked with ANZ, BHP Billiton, Bluescope, Crown,
Futuris, Integrated Tree Cropping, NAB, RACV, Sigma
Pharmaceuticals, SP AusNet, TABCORP and Toll. His industry
experience includes broadcasting and media, financial
services, wagering and gaming, industrial and consumer
markets, biotechnology, telecommunications, energy and
resources, infrastructure, forestry and logistics.
Hamish regularly lectures for Kaplan to FINSIA students
in the areas of valuations, mergers and acquisitions and
corporate structured finance.
Grant Kirby (Director) F Fin, Grad Dip (App Fin), M Forest Science (Econ), B.Agri Sci, Grad Dip (Ed)
Grant is an experienced Corporate Finance advisor who
specialises in managing mergers and acquisitions
transactions from conception to completion and providing
commercial and strategic advice for projects aimed at
creating and capturing value.
His particular specialty is negotiating and creating
innovative deals to achieve exceptional results from
transactions. He works predominantly for middle market
or SME clients.
Grant has advised on divestments, acquisitions,
leveraged buy-outs, capital raisings and other strategic
advisory assignments for both Australian and overseas
clients.
He has also worked across a range of industries including
automotive, agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, food,
retail, insurance and service industries.
Prior to starting with Leadenhall in early 2009, Grant
was the Partner responsible for Deloitte’s Mergers &
Acquisitions Advisory team in Melbourne.
