Experience Overview
Andrew joined Leadenhall in November 2018 with over 20 years as an accounting and finance professional.
Before joining Leadenhall Andrew spent 11 years as an adviser at Deloitte in Australia specialising in the provision of valuation, financial analysis, and in the development and audit of financial models for valuation and operating and financial decision making.
Andrew’s experience includes preparation of independent expert reports, valuations for accounting, taxation and transactional purposes, financial modelling, financial model audit and financial analysis in both the private and public sectors.
Tax Support
Andrew has been involved in and responsible for valuation engagements related to tax consolidation, stamp duty, GST, and resource rent taxes (PRRT and MRRT). Clients have included Rio Tinto, Consolidated Pastoral Company, Mitsui, CNOOC and NSW Government.
Andrew also has been responsible for financial analysis and financial modelling engagements supporting transfer pricing and tax dispute planning and advice. Clients have included BHP, Wyndham and Valeant Pharmaceuticals.
Independent Expert Reports (IERs) / Fairness Opinions
Andrew has been involved in the preparation of IERs for a range of transaction types including related party takeover offers and schemes, disposal of substantial assets, and voluntarily comissioned reports. Transactions include:
Seven Group: $3bn merger with WesTrac
National Hire: $300m acquisition of National Hire by Seven Group
Ratchaburi electricity, in respect of the acquisition of 80% of the share capital of Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund
Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group in respect of the acquisition by the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board
Infrastructure and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)
Andrew has been involved in and responsible for numerous valuation, financial model audit, and financial analysis and modelling engagements in a range of projects, including student accommodation, road, rail, airport, port, gas extraction and transmission, correctional, health and energy generation and transmission infrastructure.
Clients/projects have included Alinta, North Shore Hospital, Western Sydneyt University, University of Wollongong Student Accommodation, Bankstown Airport, Ravenhall Prison, Vector Gas and Port of Brisbane.
Financial Reporting
Valuation and financial modelling for impairment analysis, onerous contract liability estimation, purchase price allocation and fair value assessment. Projects have included tangible and intangible assets covering a broad range of induistries. Clients have included Crown, Inpex, Toga Hotels, FKP, Transfield, Centro Properties, Asahi/Schweppes and Yancoal.
