Experience Overview
Gary has been associated with Leadenhall since 1987 following a career in banking and as finance director of a Melbourne based international trading company. His many consulting assignments with Leadenhall included a wide range of projects in mid-market M&A, pricing and costing under National Competition Policy, and project and investment evaluation. He joined the board in 2005 and continued in this capacity until 2024.
Gary undertook a part-time secondment to the SA Department of Premier and Cabinet as an advisor to the Micro-Economic Reform Unit in 1994 and continued to consult to government at a high level for many years.
He is currently the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Global Crop Breeding Support Service, a not-for-profit based in Washington DC with a focus on plant breeding in Africa, and is a former director of the Molecular Plant Breeding Co-operative Research Centre and the Dairy Futures CRC based at La Trobe University in Melbourne where he also chaired the Audit Committees.
Gary now acts as the Company Secretary of the Leadenhall group companies and is a member of the Risk Management Committee.
